As a working mom and wife, I know life can get busy and it’s hard to stay on top of personal care. My goal is to inspire you to feel your best while helping you achieve your goals of permanent hair removal through Electrolysis. I have been inspired by Electrolysis since 2013 and haven’t looked back since.
Being from the Durham Region and struggling with unwanted hair, I found it very difficult to find someone local who offered permanent hair removal services with an accommodating schedule. This gave me the drive to continue my passion and take matters into my own hands. I now service the Durham Region and surrounding areas.
I have learned through years of experience and I can’t wait to offer you my personal expertise to help you achieve your hair free dreams by turning them into a reality. Let me take you through this journey to make you feel like your most confident self.
Initial Consultation requires 15 minutes
For most people, methods today do not cause a lot of pain, although the slight pain experienced is tolerable. If you find it too uncomfortable, a topical cream can be applied to provide you with some relief.
Electrolysis only works if you do. Consistency is key during this process.
Once we have a treatment plan in place, and have established regularly scheduled appointments, you will begin to notice a significant reduction in hair growth. There are many factors with respect to the length of time it may take to see permanent results.
This is a process that requires patience and commitment in order to achieve the ultimate goal, permanent hair removal.
Many factors influence hair growth and this varies greatly from person to person. Such factors can include hormonal imbalances, PCOS, Menopause, a Thyroid Condition and Hirsutism. Clients will need to return for several visits to achieve permanent hair removal.
After completing an initial intake form during your consultation, the number of visits and expectations will be discussed and a treatment plan will be customized to determine what is required to achieve the best results possible. You can expect to have permanent results between 10 to 18 months of following your treatment plan.
With that being said, The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will depend on several factors. The majority of clients will be required to return for treatments every other week as needed until the area has been completely cleared.
Drink plenty of water prior to your appointment and arrive hydrated. When your skin is hydrated, insertions will be better and the hair will slide out easier from the follicle, you may even experience less discomfort and your treatments will be more effective.
It is imperative that you stop trimming (cutting) your hairs 3-4 days before treatment, so the hairs are long enough for me.
Refrain from creams and makeup on the day of your appointment as well as products with the use of retinoids.
Following your treatment, please do not touch, scratch or rub any of the treated areas. Doing any of this may cause irritation to your skin and prolong the healing process. Please continue to keep hydrated and apply ice to the area as needed.
I suggest you avoid direct sunlight exposure and apply sunscreen (always recommended)! I will be offering samples of after care creams that you may apply to the treated area to help cool, heal and soothe your skin. I strongly suggest you avoid perfumes, makeup and deodorant (if applicable) on the treated areas for 24 hours!
You can trim or cut down any hairs between treatments. This will not effect any treated hairs. You can also bleach these hairs depending on the area. I personally do not recommend shaving but some Electrologists do. Shaving imposes a greater risk of ingrown hairs.
Please refrain from trimming the hairs 3-4 days prior to treatment as I can’t treat the hairs if I can’t see the hairs.
If you have unwanted hair growing from a mole of any kind, it is essential that medical advice is sought before any treatment can take place. Moles can be unpredictable and your health is something we take very seriously.
Electrolysis is a safe method to remove unwanted hair on healthy moles.
